This World Water Week, Eros Hotel New Delhi reaffirms its commitment to efficient and responsible water management through a range of measures focused on reducing water consumption, encouraging mindful usage and recycling wastewater across its daily hotel operations. The World Water Week is a global event organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) since 1991 every year to combat global water crises, find solutions and educate people to use water responsibly. This year, the event will be organised from 23rd to 27th August 2026.
Supporting the noble cause, Eros Hotel New Delhi has integrated water-efficient fixtures and awareness initiatives across guest areas, kitchens, back-of-house operations and public facilities to promote conservation as an everyday practice. The hotel has installed water-saving aerators across taps in all guest room washrooms, kitchens and back-of-house, helping regulate water flow and support more efficient consumption. In public area washrooms, sensor-operated taps have been introduced to minimise unnecessary water usage. The guest rooms are also equipped with dual-flush WC cisterns, enabling more efficient use of water depending on requirements.
Beyond infrastructure, Eros Hotel New Delhi places emphasis on creating awareness among both guests and employees. Water conservation tent cards are placed in guest rooms, encouraging guests to be mindful of their consumption during their stay. In addition, awareness posters across back-of-house areas and kitchens reinforce the importance of responsible water use among employees and operational teams.
Another key component of the hotel’s responsible water management approach is the 100% recycling of wastewater, with recycled water being utilised for horticulture and cooling towers. This enables the hotel to reduce dependence on fresh water for selected operational requirements while ensuring that treated wastewater is put to productive use.
Through these initiatives, Eros Hotel New Delhi continues to integrate resource-conscious practices into its daily operations.
