NEW DELHI, 5 JUNE 2023:
Mr.N.N Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Steel accompanied with Mr. SK Gupta CMD, MSTC Limited, conducted an inspection of the ‘State-of-Art’ vehicle scrapping facility of Mahindra MSTC Recycling Pvt. Ltd. (MMRPL) at Greater Noida on 3rd June 2023.
MMRPL officials showcased processes and machinery required for scrapping of End of Life Vehicle (ELVs) in an environmentally friendly manner by depolluting and dismantling the vehicles.

On this occasion, Secretary Steel and CMD MSTC also planted a sapling of tree within the plant during their visit to the Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) unit.

With the opening of the automobile market around 1990, India saw an extraordinary rise in the number of vehicles on the roads [for the record, the number of vehicles on the roads of India grew from a mere 29.49M (1972 -1996) to 343.74M (1997-2020) and is expected to reach 1,660.89M (2021-2040)]. Vehicle recycling has been a challenge for India and the central government has come out a policy in 2021.
