Kolkata based Unique Air Travels Private Limited has become the authorised Visa agent of Singapore. There is one more Visa office, which is a branch office in Kolkata.
Talking to The Travel and Tourism Times, Mr. Amit Sachdev, Director of Unique Air Travels Private Limited has informed that it will make the VIS process faster as now there is a AVA appointed by Singapore High Commision in New Delhi.
Hopefully the VISA processing time will be faster and will further boost tourism to Singapore. With the big tourism seasons approaching and the Durga Puja holiday bookings have started , the appointment of a new authorised visa agent at Kolkata will further ease the pressure.
India has already emerged as the top four source markets for Singapore Toursim as about 1.9 lakhs people visiting in the first quarter of 2023.
Mr.G.B.Sridhar, Regional Director ( India) of Singapore Tourism Board has informed that it has always been a preffered family destination for Indians along with wellness and cruise tourism.
Singapore Airlines has also announced to enhance seat capacity with operating wide bodied aircrafts during the Durga Puja Holidays.

There are many shopping destinations in Singapore, including Arab Street, Orchard Street, Little India, Chinatown, Clarke Quay and Waterfront Promenade, where tourists will  find a variety of high-end stores and boutiques and shops selling unique ethnic items from different countries. Such ethnic neighbourhoods are also excellent for tasting food from all around.
February to April is the ideal time to visit, owing to its dry season, free of heavy rainfall.
