Shri Lokesh Kumar Singh today assumed charge as the Secretary of the Tourism Department at the department’s office located in the Main Secretariat, Patna.
On this occasion, Tourism Director-cum-Special Secretary Shri Udayan Mishra, Joint Secretary Smt. Indu Kumari, along with other departmental officers and staff, welcomed him by presenting floral bouquets.
The Tourism Secretary stated that the department is continuously working in line with its objectives to expand tourism facilities across the state. He emphasized that his priority will be to ensure the timely implementation of all schemes and projects undertaken by the Tourism Department.
He further said that all projects selected under the Pragati Yatra initiative are targeted to be completed within the stipulated timeframe. Under the state’s Tourism Policy, the department will continue its efforts to attract maximum investment into Bihar’s tourism sector.
He also highlighted that the timely construction of the grand temple of Mata Sita at Punauradham in Sitamarhi district is at the top of the Tourism Department’s priority list.
In addition, the department has set goals for the development of infrastructure across various tourism circuits, including the Ramayana Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, and Shiv Shakti Circuit.
Through new initiatives, the Tourism Department will also work to connect all tourism stakeholders more effectively with the department.
