Minister of Tourism of Rajasthan, Vishvendra Singh unveiled Rajasthan Tourism’s media campaign at Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur on Saturday.
The campaign features two promotional films capturing the sense of belongingness one can experience with Rajasthan, a destination brimming with love and romance in every corner.
Total five promotional films have been inaugurated which will help in branding of Rajasthan both in domestic and international tourism circuit.
The promotional films re- lives the erstwhile royal life with majestic forts and palaces, fairs, folk cultures, festivals etc.
Smt. Usha Sharma, Chief secretary of Rajasthan feels that one lifetime is insufficient to explore the diverse range of culture, cuisine, scenic beauty and heritage that this state offers to the visitors.
“ That is why today Rajsthan has become the most preferred domestic tourism destination in the country. To further boost the tourism sector in the state our government has recognised tourism as an Industry, one of the very few states in the country to do that,’she added.
Smr. Gayathri Rathod, Principal Secretary of Rajasthan tourism department has announced the new film tourism promotional policy in the state. Rajasthan government is providing subsidies to boost film tourism in the state.
“ Our state government has waived of fees and made it free for shooting in the locations such as monuments, places and other properties belonging the the Rajasthan government as part of our new film shooting promotional policy. We have also streamlined a single window policy for obtaining necessary permission for the prospective film shooting production houses,”added Smt. Gayathri Rathod.
Renowned film production house of Mumbai, M/S Excel Entertainment has produced the five promotional films.
Recently Rajasthan Tourism has introduced and created new tourism routes, opened up border tourism in the state and extended the scope of both conventional and innovative tourism opportunities in the state.
The state offers immense tourism scopes due to its unique geographical conditions, deserts, diverse range of forests, captivating natural and cultural beauty, making it a stand apart from any other state in India.
The promotional films captures the visuals of the stunning natural beauty of Rajasthan’s picturesques landscapes, vibrant local culture, archetectural marvels etc. The films are designed to inspire the viewers globally to visit and enjoy the beauty that Rajasthan offers.
After the film launch, the multi-talented Farhan Akhtar brought energy and excitement to the atmosphere at Jaipur Exibition and Convention Centre (JECC). “ I have visited Rajasthan several times both as a performer and as a tourist, but everytime I come here I find it new and desire to visit again and again,” added Mr. Farhan Akhtar.
Mr. Farhan Akhtar is an Indian actor, director, screenwriter, dialogue writer, playback singer, lyricist, producer and television host who works in Hindi films.
Smt. Rashmi Sharma, Director of Rajasthan Tourism Department said that the visionary approach of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has helped the state immensely to further boost the tourism in the sectors like village, adeventure, rural, border, religious and film tourism etc.
Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, officer in charge of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation in Kolkata said that there has been huge interest from the state of West Bengal to visit Rajasthan in the coming months and he hopes that with this current trends, this year the earnings will be even higher compared to last year, which is already an all time record. He has also invited the Bengali film producing houses to explore the scenic beauties of Rajasthan for the upcoming Tolywood Bengali film shootings.
Infact, Oscar winning Director, Satyajit Roy had his number of award winning films shoot in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer.
