Delhi Tourism is organising a series of special Spiritual & Heritage Walks at Chittaranjan Park (CR Park) during the Durga Puja celebrations, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the rich Bengali heritage, traditions, spirituality, food, music, art and community life that form an integral part of Delhi’s diverse identity.

The initiative reflects the vision of the  Chief Minister, Smt. Rekha Gupta, of “Dilli Sabki Hai”, and the leadership of the  Minister for Tourism, Shri Kapil Mishra, to promote Delhi as a vibrant, inclusive and globally recognised tourism destination, where the traditions and heritage of different communities enrich the cultural landscape of the city.

CR Park, popularly known as the “Mini Bengal” of Delhi, comes alive during Durga Puja with beautifully crafted Durga idols, thematic pandals, traditional rituals, aarti, the rhythmic beats of dhak, devotional and cultural music, bhog preparation, Bengali cuisine, handicrafts and vibrant community celebrations. The festival offers a distinctive opportunity to experience the spiritual and living heritage of Bengal within Delhi.

As part of the initiative, a special Spiritual & Heritage Walk for influencers was organised on 7 October 2026 at CR Park, providing digital creators an opportunity to experience and document the unique spiritual and heritage character of the area, including its traditions, food, music, craftsmanship, community participation and preparations for Durga Puja.

The Delhi Tourism Spiritual & Heritage Walks will take visitors, tourists and influencers through the living heritage of the Bengali community through curated storytelling, heritage interpretation and interaction with local community members. The walks will cover the history and evolution of CR Park and the Kali Mandir Society, idol-making and craftsmanship associated with Kumartuli, traditional Puja practices, bhog preparation, eco-friendly visarjan practices, prominent pandals, Bengali markets, traditional food, music and other aspects of Bengali heritage and community life.

The walks are designed to offer an immersive experience that goes beyond conventional sightseeing by connecting visitors with the spirituality, traditions, stories, cuisine, music and living heritage of CR Park.
