LEAD NEWS : GOA’S TRADITIONAL DEKHNI DANCE ENTHRALLS THE AUDIENCE, AS GOA TOURISM FURTHER EXPANDS ITS GLOBAL FOOTPRINT WITH ENGAGING ROAD SHOW AT DOHA IN QATAR

On Wednesday, the Goa Tourism  colourful road show -2025  was organized at Hotel Rasdisson Blu in Doha, in the state of Qatar, as the event generated tremendous enthusiasm and response amongst all the stakeholders, it is expected that the event will help in fostering new partnerships to promote Goa as a preferred tourism destination.

Goa’s vibrant tourism offerings were prominently showcased at the Goa Roadshow in Qatar, which saw the presence of Mr. Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar, along with the Goa tourism delegation. The delegation included Mr. Kuldeep Arolkar, Managing Director, GTDC and OSD to the  Tourism Minister, Mr. Shawn Mendes, Mr. Kundan Naik, Deputy General Manager, GTDC, and TTAG President Mr. Jack Sukhija. The highlight of the show was the dazzling display of the ‘ Goa Evening’.

India’s ambassador to Qatar, Mr.  Vipul  has focused on  strong people-to-people relationships  between India and Qatar which are also seen in robust tourism flows between the two countries.  He further added that India is amongst the  top  source markets for inbound  tourism  to Qatar and India has always been a top tourism destination for Qatar whether for leisure, shopping, health, adventure, etc. “Goa has also emerged a favourite destination for travellers from Qatar who enjoy its beaches, cuisine and cultural offerings. The Goa roadshow  2025 should further boost  tourism from Qatar to the beautiful state of Goa,”he added.

Mr. Kuldeep Arolkar, Managing Director of Goa Tourism Development Corporation  delivered an insightful presentation focusing on Goa’s sustainable tourism practices, infrastructure development, and the vision for integrating ‘Regenerative Tourism’ to offer enriching experiences. The event also emphasized Goa’s emerging role as a year-round destination, with a focus on eco-tourism, cultural heritage, and wellness.

Adressing the esteemed gathering Mr. Kuldeep Arolkar, said  that , “Goa is more than just a destination; it is an experience that blends natural beauty, rich heritage, and warm hospitality. With the roadshow , we are delighted to show  a glimpse of Goa to Qatar and strengthen our bonds with the local travel industry here. We welcome travellers from Qatar to explore Goa and immerse themselves in its vibrant culture and diverse offerings.”

Mr. Kedar Naik, Director  of Goa Tourism has said that , “Goa’s charm lies in its seamless blend of heritage, culture, and natural beauty, making it an unique tourist  destination. The enthusiastic response at the Doha Roadshow 2025  reaffirms the growing interest in Goa among international tourists .
