The Karnataka pavilion will showcase a comprehensive overview of the state’s tourism offerings, highlighting its UNESCO World Heritage Sites and diverse experiential travel opportunities. The historic ruins of Hampi, with the iconic Virupaksha Temple and striking boulder-strewn landscapes of the Vijayanagara Empire, continue to attract global interest. The Group of Monuments at Pattadakal reflects the architectural brilliance of the Chalukyan era, while the Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas at Belur, Halebidu, and Somanathapura – inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023 – demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship through intricately carved soapstone temples.

Karnataka’s natural heritage will also be emphasized, particularly the Western Ghats, a UNESCO-recognized biodiversity hotspot that extends across regions such as Agumbe and Kudremukh, offering trekking trails, wildlife encounters, and scenic landscapes. The state’s national parks and reserves, including Bandipur and Nagarhole, are known for their rich wildlife and safari experiences. Coastal destinations like Gokarna and Murudeshwar further add to Karnataka’s appeal, combining beach tourism with spiritual and leisure experiences.

The presentation will also highlight Karnataka’s growing prominence as a wellness and experiential destination, with serene hill regions such as Coorg and Chikkamagaluru offering nature-based retreats, coffee plantation stays, and Ayurveda-inspired wellness experiences. Adventure tourism options, including river rafting in Dandeli and outdoor activities across the Western Ghats, will also be promoted as part of the state’s varied tourism portfolio.
In addition, Bengaluru – India’s leading commercial and technology hub – will be positioned as a key gateway to Karnataka. Known as the “Silicon Valley of India,” Bengaluru hosts a strong ecosystem of IT, startups, and global corporations, supported by modern infrastructure, convention facilities, and international air connectivity through Kempegowda International Airport. The city’s blend of business infrastructure, cultural attractions, and cosmopolitan lifestyle strengthens Karnataka’s appeal for both leisure and MICE travel segments.

Participation at SATTE 2026 is expected to enhance Karnataka’s visibility among domestic and international travel trade stakeholders and facilitate meaningful collaborations for promoting the state as a well-rounded destination encompassing heritage, nature, adventure, wellness, and business travel.
