He said that Bihar has long been the centre of India’s cultural, historical, and spiritual heritage. It is the sacred land where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, where Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born, where Lord Mahavir performed penance, and where the glorious memories of Mata Janaki continue to remain a focal point of faith. Bihar’s soil carries a unique strength of history, culture, and spirituality that attracts the entire world.

The Minister emphasized that the government’s goal is to establish Bihar among the leading tourism states in India and globally. Major tourist sites will be beautified, modern facilities will be developed, and infrastructure such as roads, lighting, cleanliness, security, and tourist amenities will be significantly improved.

He further stated that Bihar’s tourism destinations will also be promoted extensively at national and international levels so that a greater number of domestic and foreign tourists visit the state. The government’s vision is to ensure that Bihar’s identity is not limited only to its history, but that it also becomes a new benchmark in modern tourism.

The Tourism  Minister highlighted that tourism is not just a means of travel, but also a major driver of employment, business, and economic development. By promoting tourism, new employment and self-employment opportunities will be created for the youth. Local artists, handicrafts, cultural workers, and small business owners will also directly benefit from this growth.

He urged all officers and employees of the department to work together as one team with full dedication to take Bihar’s tourism sector to new heights. He also assured the people of Bihar that the Tourism Department will work in line with public aspirations, with the welfare of the people remaining the highest priority in every decision.
