As the world observes Neeb Karori Baba’s Mahasamadhi Diwas, UP Tourism is giving a fresh push to his enduring legacy through a dedicated spiritual tourism circuit, new destinations, improved infrastructure and curated tour packages for travellers from India and around the world.
To mark ‘Mahasamadhi Diwas’ and make the occasion special for devotees, UPSTDC has introduced five dedicated ‘Baba Neeb Karori’ tour packages, with departures from Lucknow and also from Delhi, offering devotees and travellers from across India an opportunity to explore places associated with Baba’s life and spiritual legacy.
Alongside this, the Tourism Department is developing a spiritual trail across Firozabad and Farrukhabad. In Firozabad, his birthplace at Akbarpur has seen Rs.8.65 crore in development, with the Rs.2.22-crore Phase-II project over 60% complete and targeted for December 2026, while a Rs.55.44-lakh rural tourism project will begin soon. In Farrukhabad, the Rs.1.51-crore development of Neeb Karori Ashram is complete.

Together, these projects represent a total investment of around Rs.12.93 crore, helping bring the places associated with his legacy into a connected tourism experience.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “Neeb Karori Baba’s death anniversary is an occasion to remember a saint whose message of faith, simplicity and service continues to inspire people across India and the world. Before 2017, the tourism potential of places associated with his life and legacy remained largely neglected, but under the leadership of CM Yogi, we are working to preserve and bring this legacy to a wider audience.”
He further added, “Through tourism projects, improved facilities and curated experiences, we aim to keep his legacy alive while creating new opportunities for spiritual and cultural tourism in the state.”
The effort is to make every visit more than a journey, bringing Baba’s legacy closer through better facilities. At Akbarpur, Firozabad, the development includes a multipurpose hall, cultural block, modern exhibition hall on Baba’s life and spiritual journey, dining hall, 50-seater cafeteria, kitchen, toilets and dormitories for around 60 visitors.

The Phase-II project includes a guard room, public-use facilities and stone pathways, while the rural tourism project will feature an entrance gate, signages, mural walls and tourist facilities. At Neeb Karori Ashram, Farrukhabad, a traveller’s residence, main gate and public-use facilities have been developed to enhance the visitor experience.
From birthplace to samadhi, the new circuit traces Baba’s spiritual journey. The ‘Neeb Karori Baba Circuit’ connects Samadhi Temple, Vrindavan, where Maharaj Ji left his mortal body in 1973; Akbarpur village, Firozabad, his birthplace; Neeb Karori Baba Ashram Dham Temple, Farrukhabad, where he is believed to have spent 12 years in an underground cave; and Hanuman Setu Mandir, Lucknow, one of the city’s most visited temples. Together, these destinations create a dedicated spiritual pathway for devotees from across the world.
To make this journey accessible to travellers, UPSTDC has introduced dedicated ‘Baba Neeb Karori’ tour packages of 5 days, 3 days and 2 days, with departures from Delhi and Lucknow based on tourist demand.
Sharing the vision behind the new circuit, ACS & DG (Tourism) Amrit Abhijat said, “The new Neeb Karori Baba Circuit will add a meaningful dimension to Uttar Pradesh’s famous spiritual tourism circuits by bringing together key places associated with the saint. On Mahasamadhi Diwas, UPSTDC has also introduced dedicated tour packages to help devotees and travellers explore these destinations. The initiative will make Baba’s spiritual and cultural legacy more accessible to visitors from India and around the world.”
