Shravani Mela at Baidyanath Dham Temple of Deoghar is one of the principal attractions for the Lord Shiva devotees across the country. Countless pilgrims rushed to Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar and Jasidih area on this auspicious occasion and they preferred the Railway route to reach there as the safest & quickest mode of transport. Accordingly, for the convenience of the passengers, Railway has decided to provide additional stoppage of Mail/Express trains at Sultanganj, Ara & Buxar stations and extension of stoppage timings at Jasidih station to clear the extra rush of passengers during Shravani Mela Period between 22.07.2024 & 19.08.2024.
Additional stoppage of Trains:
Following trains will be provided two (02) minutes stoppage at Sultanganj station on nominated days during Mela period:
12253 SMVT Bengaluru – Bhagalpur Anga Express will arrive at Sultanganj at 08:20 hrs.
12254 Bhagalpur – SMVT Bengaluru Anga Express will arrive at Sultanganj at 14:16 hrs.
Following trains will be provided two (02) minutes stoppage at Ara & Buxar stations on every Sunday during Mela period:
03113 Sealdah – Banaras Shravani Mela Special Train will arrive at Ara at 11:35 hrs and Buxar at 12:31 hours.
03114 Banaras – Sealdah Shravani Mela Special Train will arrive Buxar at 20:43 hrs. and Ara at 21:45 hrs.
Moreover, duration of halt of all Mail/ Express/ Passenger trains (except 12305/12306 Rajdhani Express, 22347/22348 Vande Bharat Express, 12273/12274 Duronto Express, 12023/12024 Jan Shatabdi Expresss, 12303/12304 Poorva Express, 12359/12360 Garib Rath Express, 12235/12236 Humsafar Express and 22459/22460 Humsafar Express) having stoppage less than 05 minutes at Jasidih station may be extended upto 05 minutes at Jasidih station during the Mela period.
