KOLKATA, 18 DECEMBER 2023:
To clear extra rush of passengers, Eastern Railway has decided to run special train between Kolkata & Anand Vihar via Dankuni.
03117 Kolkata – Anand Vihar Special will leave Kolkata at 22:45 hrs. on 19.12.2023 to reach Anand Vihar at 05:30 hrs. on the 3rd day and 03118 Anand Vihar – Kolkata Special will leave Anand Vihar at 08:20 hrs. on 21.12.2023 to reach Kolkata at 10:55 hrs. on the next day. The train will stop at Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur & Jasidih stations enroute over Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions.
The train will have General second class, Sleper class & Air-conditioned accommodations. The booking of Kolkata – Anand Vihar Special is available through PRS and internet.
AUGMENTATION OF ONE SLEEPER CLASS COACH WITH SIX POPULAR MAIL/EXPRESS TRAINS :

Eastern Railway is always keen to serve passenger demand ensuring safety and feasibility. As a step forward towards fulfilment of the need of the passengers keeping in view of the winter season, Railway has decided to augment one Sleeper Class coach with the following six (6) Mail/Express trains on temporary basis:-
13009 Howrah – Yognagari Rishikesh Doon Express journey commencing from 18.12.2023 to 31.12.2023 (14 trips)and 13010 Yognagari Rishikesh – Howrah Doon Express journey commencing 20.12.2023 to 02.01.2024(14 trips)
13043 Howrah – Raxaul Express journey commencing from 20.12.2023 to 29.12.2023 (on nominated days i.e 4 trips ) and 13044 Raxaul – Howrah Express journey commencing from 21.12.2023 to 30.12.2023( on nominated days i.e 4 trips).
13063/13064 Howrah – Balurghat – Howrah Express journey commencing 20.12.2023 to 29.12.2023(on nominated days i.e 8 trips each on both directions ).
13173 Sealdah – Agartala Express journey commencing from 19.12.2023 to 31.12.2023( on nominated days i.e 8 trips) and 13174 Agartala – Sealdah Express journey commencing from 21.12.2023 to 02.01.2024(on nominated days i.e 8 trips).
13175 Sealdah – Silchar Express journey commencing from 18.12.2023 to 30.12.2023(on nominated days i.e 6 trips) and 13176 Silchar – Sealdah journey commencing from 20.12.2023 to 01.01.2024(on nominated days i.e 6 trips).
13149 Sealdah – Alipurduar Kanchankanya Express journey commencing from 18.12.2023 to 31.12.2023 (14 trips) and 13150 Alipurduar – Sealdah Kanchankanya Express journey commencing from 19.12.2023 to 01.01.2024(14 trips).
7776 berths will be generated as sleeper class coach is augmented to the above Mail/Express trains. This will fulfil the demand and also clear the extra rush of the passengers.
