4,00,000 berths will be generated by running of Forty numbers of Puja Special trains in between 01.10.2024 & 30.11.2024. In anticipation of the upcoming festive season, Eastern Railway has taken proactive measures to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic by introducing twenty pairs of Puja Special trains. These special trains will ensure convenient and comfortable travel for all passengers during the Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivals. Eastern Railway has a long-standing tradition of running Puja Special trains to meet the growing demand for travel during the festive period. This year, with a significant rise in passenger demand expected, Eastern Railway has planned *390 trips by running forty Puja Special trains* in various directions across the country. This move will help reduce congestion and ensure smooth travel for passengers heading to different parts of the country during this peak season.
These special trains will immensely help passengers who wish to travel and return home from their workplaces across different parts of the country during the Puja season. By offering additional travel options, Eastern Railway aims to ensure that passengers can celebrate the festive season with their loved ones without the stress of securing travel arrangements. These special trains will depart from key stations including Howrah, Sealdah, Kolkata Terminal, Asansol, Bhagalpur and Malda Town, and will serve major destinations such as Khatipura, Udhna, Vadodara, Digha, Puri, Jaynagar, Patna, New Jalpaiguri, Lucknow, Haridwar, Gorakhpur, Secunderabad, Pune, New Delhi Raxaul and Anand Vihar stations.

Four nos of Puja special train will leave Howrah for different directions like Khatipura, Raxual & New Jalpaiguri and 54,888 nos of berths will be generated, four nos of Puja special train will leave Sealdah for different directions like Gorakhpur, Vadodara, Jaynagar & Lucknow and 98,376 nos of berths will be generated, two nos of Puja special train will leave Kolkata station for Puri & Patna and 45,840 nos of berths will be generated, two nos of Puja special train will leave Asansol station for Khatipura & Anand vihar Terminal and 39,456 nos of berths will be generated, six nos of Puja special train will leave Malda Town station for different directions like Udhna, Anand VIhar Terminal, Digha, Secunderabad, Pune & New Delhi and 1,00,042 nos of berths will be generated, two nos of Puja special train will leave Bhagalpur station for Haridwar & New Delhi and 60,416 nos of berths will be generated.
