Panagarh Railway Station under Asansol Division of Eastern Railway has been redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, drawing widespread appreciation from passengers for its timely transformation into a modern and passenger-centric facility. The redeveloped station was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing on 22nd May 2025, along with 102 other stations across Indian Railways.
Commuters have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Indian Railways for the remarkable upgradation, noting that the station now offers a more comfortable, safe, and efficient travel experience. The new station building, enhanced waiting areas, and improved toilet facilities have been particularly appreciated, especially by elderly and differently-abled passengers, who acknowledged the focus on inclusivity and accessibility.
