RAILWAYS: EASTERN RAILWAY TO RUN TWO HOLI SPECIAL TRAINS FOR RAXAUL AND BANARAS

Eastern Railway is pleased to announce the introduction of special train services to accommodate the surge in passengers traveling between Howrah & Raxaul and Howrah & Banaras during the festive occasion of Holi. Recognizing the significant demand for travel during this time, Eastern Railway aims to provide convenient and comfortable transportation options for passengers.

Holi, the vibrant festival of colors, is widely celebrated across India, especially in Northern India, where it brings communities together in joyous revelry. However, the increased demand for travel during this period often leads to challenges in securing train tickets, particularly on routes connecting Northern India.

To alleviate this issue and ensure hassle-free travel for passengers, Eastern Railway has decided to run two special trains between Howrah & Raxaul and Howrah & Banaras. This special train will offer additional capacity and flexibility to accommodate the extra rush of passengers during the Holi festival period.

03043 Howrah – Raxaul Holi Special will leave Howrah at 23:00 hrs on 23.03.2024 (Saturday) to reach Raxaul at 14:15 hrs on the next day and 03044 Raxaul – Howrah Holi Special will leave Raxaul at 16:55 hrs on 24.03.2024 (Sunday) to reach Howrah at 08:30 hrs on the next day. The special train will stop at Bandel, Barddhaman, Khana, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur & Jasidih stations within Eastern Railway jurisdiction enroute in both directions.

02371 Howrah – Banaras Holi Special will leave Howrah at 08:15 hrs on 23.03.2024 (Saturday) to reach Banaras at 21:45 hrs. on the same day and 02372 Banaras – Howrah Holi Special will leave Banaras at 23:05 hrs. on 23.03.2024 (Saturday) to reach Howrah at 12:20 hrs on the next day. The special train will stop at Barddhaman, Khana, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur & Jasidih stations within Eastern Railway jurisdiction enroute in both directions.

The special train will have General Class, Sleeper Class and Air-conditioned accommodation. The date of booking of tickets for the above special trains will be notified shortly.
