NEW DELHI | 9 FEBRUARY 2026

“ All the Asian nations will be drawn to the Buddhist Circuit and Magadah will emerge as the central hub,” claimed Dr. Kaulesh Kumar, Advisor, National Tourism Advisory Council (NTAC), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India Founder & Secretary General Association of Buddhist Tour Operators (ABTO).

He has  been invited to Delhi University for an interaction and discussion with students on the topic “The Potential of Attracting Asian Countries in the Buddhist Tourism Sector” scheduled for 24 February 2026.

“We have gladly accepted this invitation, and it is a matter of great honour and privilege for us. Across the world, interest in peace-oriented tourism has been steadily increasing. A growing number of tourists are visiting India and Nepal in search of peace, spirituality, and inner harmony,”he added .

Dr. Kaulesh Kumar further added that the rapid development of infrastructure and tourist-friendly facilities over the past few years clearly indicates that, in the coming times, no force can prevent the Buddhist Circuit from emerging as a “Diamond Triangle” or from shining prominently on the global tourism map.

“The core of this development will be the Magadh and Awadh regions, encompassing globally significant destinations such as Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, Rajgir, Nalanda, Vaishali, Kushinagar, Mogalmori, Ajanta, Kapilvastu, and Lumbini (Nepal).I consistently emphasize to tourism stakeholders how sustainable, pollution-free tourism enterprises can be initiated with minimal capital investment, thereby creating livelihood opportunities while preserving the environment,” he concluded.
