AKASA AIR: READY FOR TAKE OFF

Akasa Air has announced that it has received the much awaited  Air Operator Certificate (AOC), the final approval  which is mandatory for commercial flight operations from the  aviation regulatory authority in India,  Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Vinay Dube, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Akasa Air said ,”We are thankful to the Civil Aviation Ministry and the DGCA for their constructive guidance, active support and the highest levels of efficiency throughout the AOC process. We now look forward to opening our flights for sale, leading to the start of commercial operations by late July.”

Akasa Air has already informed that its commercial operations will start by the end of this month with two aircrafts and will add aircrafts in its fleet every month.

By 31 March 2023, Akasa Air has planned to have about 18 aircrafts. It has already placed an order of 72 numbers of 737 Max aircrafts.

On 21 June this year the first aircraft was delivered  to Akasa Airlines. Meanwhile Indigo has also announced its new direct international
daily flight services from 1 August this year from Mumbai to Bahrain.

With this Indigo will now be connected with all the six countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council. With this Indigo is targeting the
business and the leisure travelers sector.
