Bombay Brasserie, the iconic restaurant from Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) famed for its authentic and eclectic Bombay and Indian cuisine, sits in the heart of Singapore at South Beach. Since opening its doors in Kensington, London, in 1982, Bombay Brasserie has reimagined Indian fine dining for audiences around the world. The brand has since travelled to Cape Town, Dubai, Singapore and Frankfurt, introducing diners to the many cuisines of India.

On Friday, Bombay Brasserie Singapore welcomed actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan for lunch. Often called Mr. Perfectionist for the care he brings to his films; Khan was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the dishes prepared for him. The team had planned his visit closely, from the choice of food to a personal tribute celebrating one of his most loved films.
To mark the 25th anniversary of Lagaan, the 2001 film that remains a milestone in Khan’s career, Bombay Brasserie created a specially designed commemorative show plate. The tribute honoured the film’s enduring place in Indian cinema and the actor’s work both in front of and behind the camera. Khan signed the plate during his visit, leaving the team with a personal memento of the afternoon.
Bombay Brasserie Singapore has also welcomed some of India’s best-known sporting figures. In August 2026, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and fellow members of India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup-winning team gathered at the restaurant for a celebratory lunch.
The iconic dining destination draws on Bombay’s Parsi cafés, its seafood restaurants, its famous chaat stalls and the delicate flavours of Continental fare. The beverage philosophy takes its inspiration from colonial-era Bombay, with each drink telling tales of the vibrant neighbourhood it hails from. The restaurant’s design combines the aesthetic of Bombay’s Parsis and Anglo-Indian elements to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
More than four decades since Bombay Brasserie opened in London, its Singapore restaurant continues to present Indian food with an international outlook, while keeping the dishes and the hospitality recognisably rooted in India.
