EDUCATION : ANNUAL FUNCTION AND PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY OF INDIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL ASANSOL WAS HELD AT THE SCHOOL PREMISES, MP SHATRUGHAN SINHA AND LAW MINISTER MOLOY GHATAK WERE PRESENT

The  students of class KG to class twelve of India International School, Asansol  took part in the colourful annual cultural fuction Indradhanush and prize distribution ceremony  held at the school premises on 25 th November.

Asansol MP, Shatrughan Sinha, law, judiciary and labour minister Moloy Ghatak, secretary of Asansol ramakrishna Mission, Swami Somatwananda, vice president of National Rifle Association of India, V.K.Dhall,  Chairman  N.K.Sharma, trustee member, Radha Sharma, Director of India International School, A.K.Sharma, Principal Sharmishtha Chanda Paul, deputy mayor, Abhijeet Ghatak,  Vice Principal Jhuma Gayen, Junior School incharge, Gargi Sharma etc were present.

More than 500 students performed in front of the  packed audience for over three hours.

School Principal , Sharmistha Chanda Paul welcoming the guests read out the outstanding perforamces of the school  students in the field of  education, sports and other extra curricular activities.

Director of IIS Asansol  and National Teacher Award winner from former President, A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, A.K.Sharma  spoke aout the new education policy and gave a motivational speech to both the students and the parents and also highlighted the future plans of the boarding school.

Law and Judiciary minister Moloy Ghatak said that he is aware of the outstanding results of the school in the baord exams and said that within a very short span of time the India International School Asansol has established itself as one of the top english medium schools in South Bengal and every year its students strength has been increasing.

Bolywood actor and Asansol MP, Shatrughan Sinha said that the colourful programmee Indradhanush performed by the school students made him nostalgic and he gave his blessings to the school students and said that in future too he will try to present in all developmental and positive activities of sthe school.

The students gave a warm welcome and guard of hopnur to chief guest and Asansol MP, Shatrughan Sinha. After which the light lamping  ceremony  took place with om chanting and gayatri mantra was also  read out.

After the inaugural session, the prize distribution , cultural programmee were held and the event ended with national anthem.

The entire programee was beautifully organised and the students wore colourful dresses and danced to popular tunes mesmerising the audience. The dance forms included from different parts of the country and  truly showcased the country’s  unity in diversity.
