The fourth edition of the Ladakh Ice Climbing Festival 2023 was inaugurated by the Lt. Governor of the union territory of Ladakh, Mr. Radha Krishna Mathur on 1 February.
The ice-climbing fest will be held from 1 st February to 5 February at Gangles village in Leh.
The Ladakh Mountain Guide Association has constructed an ice wall at Gangle’s hamlet for this breathtaking adventure sports festival.

The ice climbing fest is free of cost and will put Ladakh as the most popular winter and adventure sports destination in the country.
Ice climbing is similar to almost rock climbing with some differences.
The Department of Tourism and Culture of Ladakh had also recently participated in the six day mega event of #BharatParv2023 along with a team of Handicraft and Handloom Department, Cultural Troupes and Ethnic food exhibitors from 26 January to 31 st January at Red Fort, Delhi.
