Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has been recognized at the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) – DEI Awards for its extensive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programmes.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President – Human Resources, IHCL, said, “Diversity and Inclusion is one of the significant pillars under IHCL’s ESG+ framework of Paathya. We are committed to creating an equitable workplace by advancing gender equality and supporting the recruitment of differently abled. Furthermore, we have committed to filling 50% of our available vacancies with women candidates during campus recruitment. Some of our industry-leading policies include extended maternity leave, crèche facilities, healthcare benefits including IVF treatments, and skilling of under-served communities and regions. We are delighted with the recognition of our commitment to positive social impact.”
The DEI Awards, a collaborative effort between the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Ernst & Young as the thought partner, was established with the objective of recognizing enterprises that have implemented remarkable and extraordinary strategies designed to cultivate a work environment where every individual is appreciated, embraced, and actively involved, irrespective of their distinctions.
