DURGAPUR, 15 MARCH 2023:

NSHM Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management is organizing a two day International Conference on Tourism and Hospitality (ITHC-2023) on the theme “Contemporary Issues, Global Trends & Sustainable development” on 16 and 17 th March at Durgapur in West Bengal, informed Professor ( Dr) Milind, Principal.

The conference will provide a common podium to future Tourism and Hospitality Professionals, Academicians, Researchers, Industry Representatives and Students to discuss about Trends and Issues related to Hospitality and Tourism and will also promote Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tourism and Hospitality sector.

To achieve this, experts from different fields shall be there on the common platform to enrich the audience with their findings and research presentation.

Rajesh Kumar Gupta and Mousumi Mukherjee, of the Organising Committee of ITHC -2023 have informed that on 16 March the inaugural day the conference will be held at ITC Puspanjali Hotel in Durgapur and on the next day will be at the Arrah Shibtala NSHM Knowledge Campus in Durgapur.

Ms. Acharapan Yavaprapas, Consul General of Thailand, Mr. R.K.Jaiswal, Consulate of Maldives, Dr. Sagnik Chowdhury, DDG and Regional Director of ministry of tourism, Sayak Nandi, assistant director, ministry of tourism, Ms. Sharda Ghosh, Principal, IHM Bhunaneshwar, Mr. Ashish Gawri, GM of ITC Fortune Puspanjali, Dr. Nitin Nagrale, CEO Quality NZ,

On day 2, Dr. M.A.Sifique, head of the department of tourism management, University of Burdwan, Mr. Samik Roy, National Tourism Award Winner and regional level guide, Mr. Debjit Dutta, Chairman of IATO & ADTOI, Mr. Eshor Raj Poudel, consul general of Nepal etc will be present. Professor Krishnendu Sarkar, Director of NSHM Knowlerdge Campus, Kolkata and Professor B.B.Parida of BU will also address in the keynote session.

From 9.30 AM to 10 AM there will be a heritage walk at Ancient Monument and Archaeological Site 12^th Century AD RARHESWAR SHIVA Temple.
