RAILWAY : EASTERN RAILWAY TO INTRODUCE VANDE BHARAT SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN HOWRAH AND NEW JALPAIGURI

Eastern Railway is pleased to announce the introduction of a new Vande Bharat special train service between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri. This initiative is undertaken to address the additional passenger demand and enhance the connectivity between these significant destinations.

The decision to launch 02301/02302 Howrah – New Jalpaiguri – Howrah Vande Bharat Special train comes in response to the consistently high demand for railway tickets, particularly to and from the renowned tourist spot of Darjeeling. As one of the most popular travel destinations, Darjeeling attracts tourists throughout the year, leading to an ongoing surge in the demand for efficient and comfortable transportation.

The Vande Bharat special train is well-known for its modern amenities, speed, and comfort, making it a preferred choice among passengers. The introduction of this special service aims not only to clear the extra rush of passengers but also to provide a reliable and popular transportation option for those traveling between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri.

Passengers can expect a seamless travel experience, combining the efficiency of the Vande Bharat train with the scenic beauty of the journey through this picturesque region. 02301 Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Special will leave Howrah at 05:55 hrs. on every Wednesday between 15.11.2023 & 29.11.2023 (03 trips) to reach New Jalpaiguri at 13:25 hrs. on the same day. The train will stop at Bolpur (Arr./Dep 07:37 hrs./07:39 hrs.), Malda Town (Arr./Dep 10:32 hrs./10:35 hrs.) & Barsoi (Arr./Dep 11:38 hrs./11:40 hrs.) stations enroute. 02302 New Jalpaiguri – Howrah Vande Bharat Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 15:00 hrs. on every Wednesday between 15.11.2023 & 29.11.2023 (03 trips) to reach Howrah at 22:35 hrs. on the same day. The train will stop at Barsoi (Arr./Dep 16:28 hrs./16:30 hrs.), Malda Town (Arr./Dep 17:55 hrs./17:58 hrs.) & Bolpur (Arr./Dep 20:13 hrs./20:15 hrs.) stations enroute.

The date of booking of tickets for 02301 Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Special train will be available on & from 12.11.2023 through PRS & Internet. Special charge in addition to existing fare of Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express will be realized. Concessional booking will not be allowed. Tatkal quota will not be available.
