RAILWAY : SOUTHERN RAILWAY TO RUN HOLI SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN COIMBATORE AND PATNA WITH STOPPAGES OVER ASANSOL DIVISION

KOLKATA, 23 MARCH 2024:

To clear the expected rush of passengers during ensuing Holi, Southern Railway has decided  to run Holi special trains in different directions. To alleviate this issue and ensure hassle-free travel for passengers, the special train will run between Coimbatore and Patna. This special train will offer additional capacity and flexibility to accommodate the extra rush of passengers during the Holi festival period.

06093 Coimbatore – Patna Superfast Holi Special will leave Coimbatore at 21:45 hrs on 22.03.2024 (01 trip) to reach Patna Junction at 20.00 hrs on 24.03.2024 and 06094 Patna – Coimbatore Superfast Holi Special will leave  Patna at 14.00 hrs on 27.03.2024 (01 trip) to reach Coimbatore  at 11:00 hrs on 29.03.2024. The special train will stop at Asansol, Chittaranjan, Jamtara, Madhupur & Jasidih stations within Asansol Division of Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute.

By introducing this Holi Special Train, Railway will generate a large number of berths, providing much needed relief to the surge in passenger numbers during this Holi Festival.

REVISED TIMINGS OF KOLKATA – MADAR JUNCTION WEEKLY EXPRESS:

Ministry of Railways has decided to revise the timings of 19607/19608 Kolkata – Madar Junction – Kolkata  at Singrauli station over East Central Railway System with effect from 01.04.2024.

19607 Kolkata – Madar Junction Weekly Express will arrive Singrauli Station at 04:52 hrs and will leave the station at 04:57 Hrs. instead of 05:02 Hrs.

19608 Madar Junction – Kolkata Weekly Express will arrive Singrauli Station at 21:40 hrs and will leave the station at 21:45 Hrs. instead of 21:50 Hrs.

Timings of the train at all other stations will remain unchanged in both directions.

EASTERN RAILWAY TO RUN TWO NEW MEMU PASSENGER TRAINS OVER ASANSOL DIVISION:

Two new MEMU Passenger Special trains will be introduced between Andal & Barddhaman and Barddhaman & Asansol as per the decision of Indian Railway.

03546 Andal-Barddhaman MEMU Passenger Special will be introduced with effect from 24.03.2024 leaving Andal at 18:35 Hrs. and arriving Barddhaman at 19:55 Hrs. and 03005 Barddhaman- Asansol MEMU Passenger Special will be introduced with effect from 26.03.2024 leaving Barddhaman at 12:40 Hrs. and arriving Asansol at 14:30 Hrs.

More over, The following trains will be converted from conventional ICF Rake to MEMU Rake :- (1) 03081 Rampurhat-Jasidih special train will run with MEMU rake with new train number i. e. 63081 with effect from 25.03.2024 and (2) 03082 Jasidih-Rampurhat special will run with MEMU rake with new train number i.e. 63082 with effect from 25.03.2024.
