North East India is all set to get its first Vande Bharat Express from New Jalapaiguri to Guwahati.
It will run six days a week and is set to cover 410 kilometres stretch in just six hours, thus siginificantly cutting the time of travel from North Bengal to Assam. The semi high speed train will have 16 coaches.
Trial run of the semi high speed train is completed and the commercial run will start from 24 May. This will be the 17 th Vande Bharat Express in the country.
Mr. Sanjay Chilwarwar, additional divisional railway manager (ADRM) of North East Fronteir railways has informed that the first Vande Bharat Express of North East India will run very soon.
The first Vande Bharat Express in North East is all set to further boost tourism and trade in the region.
Few days ago, PM Narendra Modi has virtually flagged off the Vande Bharat Express traion from Howrah to pilgtrim city of Puri in Odisha.
