‘RETHINKING TOURISM’ : MYSTICAL MIZORAM , A PARADISE FOR EVERYONE TO OBSERVE WORLD TOURISM DAY ON 27 SEPTEMBER AT AIZAWL

Tourism minister of Mizoram, Mr. Robert Romawia Royte, who is also the chief guest, will inaugurate the World Tourism Day Programme at Vanapa Hall in Aizawl  at 11 AM on 27 September.

Mr. P.C Pachhunga, vice chairman  of ICT,SYS and Tourism Development Board will be the guest of honour.

Smt. Manisha Saxena, principal secretary of the Tourism department of Mizoram will deliver  the welcome speech.

Smt. Rachel Lalrinhluii, deputy director (G) will take the pledge.

Presentation of the World Tourism Day Theme – “Rethinking Tourism” will be given by Mr. Vantawl Lalengmawia, joint secretary of the tourism department of Mizoram.

After a speech by the chief guest Mr. Rovert Romawia Royte, the tourism minister’s presentation of guide  license / tour operator certificate to SEDP beneficiaries will be given by Dr. R. Lalrinchhani, deputy director (P).

Which will be followed by declaration of winner of start up competition and fest, tourism excellence awards and prize distributions of Yuva Tourism Inter College Quiz Competition. Smt. Zonunthari, deputy secretary, will give the vote of thanks.

Talking to The Travel and Tourism Times, Mr. Vantawl Lalengmawia, joint secretary of department of tourism of Mizoram said that the World Tourism Day celebration will be held on 27 September, highlighting the shift towards tourism being recognized as a crucial pillar of development and has invited all the  stakeholders  to join the  grand celebration at Vanapa Hall.

It should be noted that yesterday, Mr. Robert Romawia Royte,  Minister for Tourism of Mizoram  discussed issues relating to promotion of tourism with Mr.i G Kishan Reddy,  Union Minister for Tourism, department of development of North eastern region and tourism yesterday  in New Delhi.

The  Union Tourism Minister assured him of the commitment of the Union government towards the promotion of tourism in Mizoram with employment generation and skill development.

Mr. Robert Romawia Royte, was  accompanied by Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary and Director of Tourism Board.

Mr. Robert Romawia Royte,  Tourism Minister has  said that digitally advanced tourism sector can improve local community empowerment and efficient resource management while speaking before the gatherings at National Conference of State Tourism Ministers at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh a few days ago in  the presence of union minister and state chief chief minister.

Mr. Robert Romawia Royte also met with Mr. Vivek Kumar Dewangan IAS,CMD, REC Limited   recently. The CMD of REC Limited has  assured him that tourist buses and vehicles would be given to Mizoram Tourism as a part of their CSR Initiative.
