Giving a big boost to the film induced tourism in the state as envisioned by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the superhit Tamil blockbuster movie Pushpa The Rule (Puspa -2) starring telugu superstar Allu Arjun is going to be shoot in the red clay of Khatra area of Bankura district of South Bengal.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has recently announced plans to set up a film city in Purulia district of South Bengal like the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad to promote film induced tourism in the state in PPP mode.
The happy maharat of Pushpa The Rule Movie happened yesterday. However, Allu Arjun was not present. At present he is in New York.
Puspa The Rise was the first movie to enter the Rs.100 crore club business after the pandemic. Pushpa -2 , the film casting actors Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandana etc will be shooted in the green patches of Khatra area, which is situated at the southern part of Bankura district of West Bengal.
The production house has not confirmed yet when the shooting of the film will start at Khatra and how long the shooting will continue.
But as per information the shooting will mostly be action oriented and will consist of an epic battle between two rival groups of smugglers.Actor Fahadh Faasil will also be seen again playing in the role of a wicked IPS officer Bhanwar Singh Shekawat in Pushpa : The Rule.
The action packed movie will have great fighting scenes between Pushpa ( Aloo Arjun) and Bhanwar Singh.
The budget of Pushpa -2 has doubled to Rs.400 crores from Rs.193 crores of Pushpa .
The songs of the film Pushpa and the popular dialogues like – ‘Pushpa Jhukega Nahi’ took the box office of the south Indian film industry by storm.
“ Pushpa is coming back,”wrote director Sukumar.
The entire team of Pushpa will come to Bengal to shoot the film and the most important part of the film will be shooted here, sources said. Pushparaj will engage into a fierce gun battle with the anti group of the smugglers.
Sources in the industry claimed that the shooting will start in early 2023.
There will be a big change in the script of the film Pushpa -2 and the climax will hold the audience to their toes. Director Sukumar said that expectations have been very high and the second film of this series will be made keeping in mind the grand success of the first movie.
Already after getting the information of the upcoming part 2 of the film Pushpa the fans went berserk.
Not only, the shooting of the upcoming film boost the local economy in Khatra but in the coming days it will also become a tourist destination and will definitely promote film induced tourism, experts said.
Pushpa The Rise was the 2021 telugu movie written and directed by Sukumar. It has an estimated box office business of over Rs.350 crores and had songs like – Dakko Dakko Meka, oo Antava Oo Oo Antava, Eyy Bidda Idhi Naa Aada, Srivalli,Saami Saami etc.
It was released on 17 December 2021. It is a tale of a labourer named Pushpa who makes enemies as he rises in the world of red sandalwood smuggling. However, violence erupts when the police attempt to bring down his illegal business.
Forty Year old Allu Arjun is an Indian actor who works in Telugu films. He is one of the highest paid actors in India and is also famous for his dancing. He is a recipient of several awards, including five Filmfare Awards South and five Nandi Awards. Allu Arjun made his debut with the film Gangotri in 2003.
