KOLKATA, 22 NOVEMBER 2024:
Emirates has partnered with the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO) to inspire UAE based travellers to discover one of the world’s most captivating destinations, Japan, in all its glory, during the upcoming winter season.
Planning a winter break to Japan is easier and more accessible, with a variety of unforgettable experiences ranging from snow festivals, skiing and snowboarding in scenic mountains, to an endless choice of onsen hot springs. For food lovers, Japan’s incredible cuisine offers an abundant variety of regional and seasonal dishes.
With more relaxed visa rules introduced last year, Japan has become a popular destination among UAE citizens and residents. In the first six months of 2024, Japan welcomed close to 7,000 UAE nationals, a 71% increase in comparison to the same period in 2023.
Emirates has been flying to Japan for over 20 years, with operations starting to Osaka in 2002. Today the airline operates 21 weekly flights to its three gateways, Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita, and Osaka, on a mixed fleet of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s.
Earlier this year, Emirates also introduced its four-class Airbus A380 featuring the highly popular Premium Economy product as well as refurbished First, Business, and Economy Class cabins on daily flights to Tokyo Narita – elevating the existing travel experience.
