(Mandsaur’s In-Charge Minister Ms. Nirmala Bhuria Attends Adventure Thrills with All-Season Tent City at Gandhi Sagar Forest Retreat Organized by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board)

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has inaugurated the fourth edition of Gandhi Sagar Forest Retreat on Friday, September 12, at Gandhi Sagar Dam in Mandsaur district. Dr. Yadav has arrived arrive at Gandhi Sagar at 2:30 PM and has performed the “Maa Chambal Aarti” at the retreat. On the occasion of the inauguration, Mandsaur’s in-charge minister Ms. Nirmala Bhuriawas alsopresent. The event was organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in collaboration with Lallooji& Sons and Evoke Camping/Eyak Ventures.
Gandhi Sagar Emerging as an Adventure Hub:
The picturesque backwater region of the Gandhi Sagar Dam, built on the Chambal River, is being developed into an adventure hub by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. This initiative has now started attracting tourists from across India and abroad.
Main Attractions:
- A glamping site surrounded by natural beauty (50 luxury all-season tent city)
- Water, land, and air-based adventure activities – parasailing, paramotoring, jet skiing, zorbing, etc.
- Boat safari and boat spa
- Jungle safari
- Local cuisine, indoor sports, and entertainment facilities
- Workshops focused on nature conservation and local handicrafts
Generating Employment Opportunities:
Along with giving Madhya Pradesh tourism a new identity at national and international levels, this initiative will also boost the regional economy and create new local employment opportunities.
Through such events, nature and adventure tourism will be promoted, leading to an increase in the number of tourists seeking thrilling experiences. At the same time, this will help preserve local culture and traditions, while also developing awareness among the new generation about their heritage and natural wealth.
