Sarovar Hotels Pvt. Ltd. has announced the promotion of Mr. SHANTANU RANJAN PAL as the new Area General Manager .
Mr. Shantanu Ranjan Pal is a hospitality veteran with almost three decades of experience across luxury hotels, resorts, wellness retreats, spiritual destinations, and business hotels throughout India.
Currently serving as General Manager of Marasa Sarovar Premiere since mid 2023, Shantanu has led the property to become one of the leading luxury spiritual retreat destinations in the country. Under his leadership, the hotel was recognized as Hotel of the Year across Sarovar Hotels for two consecutive years, while he was honoured with the General Manager of the Year 2025 Award.
His achievements also include the Millennium Award from the National Council (IHMCTAN), a nomination for Hospitality Rising Star of the Year 2025, and the HVS ANAROCK Award 2025 for Best Midscale Leisure Hotel.
In his new role, he will oversee the Le Lac Sarovar Portico Ranchi and the upcoming Golden Tulip Ranchi; to drive key performance metrics, optimise operational efficiencies, manage owner relationships, and mentor the unit leaders.
The Sarovar Hotels Groyp has congratulated Mr. Shantanu Ranjan Pal on his well-deserved elevation to ‘Area General Manager’ effective from June 2026.
Mr. Shantanu Ranjan Pal hails from West Bengal and is a graduate from Institute of Hotel Management Kolkata (IHM Kolkata). He had began his career with The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, where I gained a strong foundation in luxury hospitality operations and had later worked with several hotel chains including four and five star properties Mayfair Hill Resort, Sarovar Portico Durgapur, ITC Fortune etc.
