PRISM, the corporate parent of OYO, has launched 38 extended stay hotels across the U.S. under Studio 6, its extended-stay brand within G6 Hospitality. The portfolio includes hotels in gateway cities with business demand and potential for leisure travel including in New York, Dallas, Houston and Phoenix; business hubs including Charlotte, St Louis, Richmond and Indianapolis; leisure-driven destinations like Las Vegas, and suburban markets such as Oakland, Greenville and Pasadena.

Extended-stay hotels are designed for guests seeking accommodation for several days to weeks, offering amenities such as fully equipped kitchenettes, in-room workspaces, self-service laundry, high-speed internet, and flexible housekeeping services. Most of these hotels have an average of approximately 100–120 rooms by way of which PRISM aims to achieve operational efficiency while catering to a wide spectrum of long-stay demand.

These hotels aim to cater to a segment of travellers including corporate professionals on assignments, relocating families, and project-based workers, blending the comfort of home with the reliability of a hotel. The extended-stay model aims to offer structural efficiency compared to traditional hotels. PRISM believes that with longer guest durations, properties benefit from lower frequency of room turnover, reduced housekeeping intensity, and significantly lower customer acquisition costs. PRISM also believes that this will result in more stable occupancy and improved unit economics, potentially making it a resilient and attractive segment within the U.S. hospitality market.

Following the launch of eight hotels in the first phase earlier this year, the current phase saw 30 hotels go live making it an important milestone for an India-origin hospitality company in the U.S. market. It also highlights PRISM’s efforts to transition from a domestic hospitality platform to a globally-scaled operator aiming to deliver service standards, operational oversight, and a consistent quality premium guest experience. PRISM is planning to deploy India-built technology, revenue management systems, and AI capabilities in these extended stay hotels.

Speaking on the development, Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and Chairman, PRISM said “In USA, we are seeing a shift towards longer-duration stays driven by project-based travel, medical staff, construction crew, temporary stays due to home renovation and a growing need for dependable, high-quality yet affordable accommodation. This expansion aims to bring a tech-enabled, operations-first approach to hospitality, while making efforts to ensure consistency, efficiency, and an elevated guest experience at scale. As an India-born company, we are proud to demonstrate our ability to operate and grow in those competitive markets, while aiming to establish benchmarks for value and quality in the extended stay segment”.

The expansion follows PRISM’s around $525.00 million acquisition of G6 Hospitality.

The extended-stay remains a strong segment in U.S. lodging, with an effort to keep stable demand, efficient economics, and attractive investor interest. G6 Hospitality is supporting this momentum through technology and operational tools including G6 Marketplace, Protect24.ai, and bookable Early Check-In.
