Ramjhol 1.0 Rajasthan- Kal- Aj aur Kal (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) will be organized at the Kolkata Centre for Creativity by KCC Anamika, SATGE and a CSR Initiative of the Emami Group says Smt. Pramila Shah, Event Director of Anamika Kala Sangam and also associated with KCC.
Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, assistant director of of department of information and public relations, information bureau of Government of Rajasthan told The Travel and Tourism Times that this program is an exploration of the culture of Rajasthan and its ties with Kolkata. “The event touches upon all aspects of creativity and endeavour– contemporary art, language and literature, theatre, film, craft, design, architecture and history, culminating in three days of performances, workshops, talks, performances and exhibitions,” adds Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo who will also be a moderator on the event on 20 th August.
“It is our attempt to go beyond the celebratory cliches one usually encounters– the usual contrast of rustic and royal, rustled up for the tourist industry. We look at so many other aspects– in other ways. Rajasthani language, its literature, its unique poetic and musical traditions,” adds Smt. Pramila Shah.
For nearly a hundred years, Kolkata was the epicentre of the demand for language recognition.
