The Jabalpur Bargi Dam is set to host an exhilarating array of adventure sports during the upcoming Lake Festival, scheduled from March 29 to April 13 in Deori Bakai. Organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) and the Jabalpur Archaeological Tourism and Culture Council (JATCC), the festival promises an exciting lineup, including sling shots, water para sailing, and surfing, complemented by cultural programs each evening. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to experience a night water safari on a cruise, enhanced by performances of folk dances by artists from Rajasthan and Maharashtra, alongside a showcase of light and classical music from local and regional performers. A one-hour boat ride will be accompanied by live music, fostering a vibrant atmosphere for all participants.
American Swiss tents are being established to accommodate tourists attending an upcoming festival near Narmada View in Deori Bakai, which will feature prominent Bollywood and South Indian film stars. Bharat Bhushan, film producer and Managing Director of Beyond Studios, is orchestrating the program’s design and execution, aiming to elevate the festival to a national level. Hemant Singh, CEO of JATCC, highlighted that the fusion of water sports and cultural activities aims to captivate visitors and enhance the festival’s appeal. With unique beach rides and innovative concepts planned, the event is strategically crafted to attract participants from across the country, showcasing the region’s natural beauty.
The Jheel Mahotsav is set to take place at Narmada View in Deori Bakai, the final village on the Mandla district border. Yesterday, the venue was inspected by Mandla Collector Somesh Mishra, accompanied by Superintendent of Police Rajat Saklecha and several other district officials. During this visit, Collector Mishra emphasized the importance of active participation from all officials to ensure the event’s success. Notable attendees included JATCC CEO Hemant Singh, Tourism Manager Tarun Mishra, and Beyond Studios Managing Director Bharat Bhushan.
During the Festival, visitors to Bargi Dam will have the unique opportunity to partake in two separate cruises lasting one hour each. These cruises will not only provide a scenic boating experience but will also feature live performances by local artists, enhancing the cultural ambiance. Culinary offerings will be available on board, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. Additionally, participants in water sports will enjoy an exclusive landing on a houseboat, presenting a distinct and memorable encounter with the serene waters of Bargi Dam. The array of activities includes invigorating water sports such as motor boating, banana rides, and kayaking, alongside exhilarating air sports like para sailing and hot air balloon rides, culminating in a comprehensive adventurous experience.
