To further boost tourism in the state, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has launched fifteen numbers intercity European style luxury sleeper volvo buses from today.
The buses have been flagged off by chief minister of Karnataka, Basabaraj Bommai few days back.
The luxury buses have been rechristened as Ambari Utsav. Very soon 35 more buses will be inducted into the fleet of KSRTC. These buses will ply to the top cities within the state from Bengaluru and also to cities of other states.
Volvo 9600 multi axle sleeper buses will ply in the routes of Bengaluru- Mangaluru, Bengaluru- Kundapura, Bengaluru- Panaji, Bengaluru – Pune, Bengaluru- Hyderabad, Bengaluru- Secunderabad, Bengaluru- Ernakulam, Bengaluru- Thrissur, Bengaluru- Thiruvananthapuram.
The passengers will enjoy a panoramic view while travelling in these specially european designed Air conditioned luxury buses which will have a total 42 seats.
The travelling time will be around 10 hours. The passengers will have a feeling like travelling in aircrafts on the road.
The buses have ample headroom, 2 USB ports, air vents, reading lights, mobile holder.
Knee Impact Protection Technology has been provided in each bus to enhance the safety of the drivers during emergency situations and also has fire detectors and suppressors systems
Passengers can book the tickets through the KSRTC website of KSRTC.
