The strategic meeting focused on leveraging modern technology, international partnerships, and infrastructure development to showcase Bihar’s rich cultural and historical legacy to the world.

The meeting holds immense cultural significance as Shri Kanishka Narayan, who currently serves as the UK government’s Minister for AI and represents the Vale of Glamorgan constituency as an MP, is of Bihari origin. Bihar’s Director of Tourism, Shri Udayan Mishra, also attended the discussions, providing administrative insights into the state’s ongoing and future tourism blueprints.
During the dialogue, extensive deliberations were held on how to effectively market Bihar’s multi-dimensional heritage—spanning globally significant historical, cultural, religious, and natural circuits—to international travelers. The delegation discussed transforming the state’s approach through the integration of artificial intelligence and digital promotion to create immersive experiences for tech-savvy global tourists.
Both sides emphasized the importance of building world-class tourism infrastructure to ensure seamless travel and hospitality experiences. Key areas of focus included fostering international partnerships to boost foreign footfall and utilizing cutting-edge digital tools for targeted global marketing campaigns. The inclusion of AI-driven solutions is expected to revolutionize how destinations like Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Rajgir, and Vaishali are presented to the international audience.

Expressing optimism over the collaboration, UK MP and Minister Kanishka Narayan termed the meeting a highly positive and forward-looking initiative for Bihar’s tourism landscape. He indicated a strong willingness to explore avenues where modern technology could support the state’s heritage preservation and promotional efforts.
Speaking on the outcome of the London meet, Tourism Minister Shri Kedar Prasad Gupta reiterated the state government’s unwavering commitment to elevating Bihar’s international profile. He emphasized that the state is continuously striving to implement progressive policies aimed at drastically increasing the influx of foreign tourists.
“Bihar possesses unparalleled spiritual and historical wealth,” Minister Gupta stated. “By modernizing our infrastructure and embracing digital innovation, we aim to not only attract global travelers but also drive massive tourism-based employment and socio-economic investment back home.”
