About 70 top travel agents of Kolkata including members of TAFI, TAII and SKAL International Kolkata participated in the discovery, networking and dining roadshow organised by Ras Al Khaimah at the Oberoi Grand Hotel in the City of Joy today.
Rediscover Ras Al Khaimah : A nature driven destination of sprawling deserts, beaches and stunning mountain landscapes was the theme of the roadshow today.
Mr. Carlo Kazen, senior manager, destination tourism development of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority of Government of Ras Al Khaimah was present.
Mr. Hemant Mediratta representative company of Ras Al Khaimah in India ONE Rep Global was also present.
Talking to The Travel and Tourism Times, Mr. Anil Punjabi, Chairman ( East) of Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) said that Ras Al Khaimah is a beautiful destination , with so many people going to United Arab Emirates (UAE), this is a destination which can be sold.
“ Beautiful properties on the beaches and already college students and families are planning to visit,” Mr. Anil Punjabi added.
Mr. Manav Soni, Chairman ( East) of Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) said that this is one of the places in UAE which has very high potential specially for the MICE and wedding market.
“ One more opportunity for the east market to promote and benefit out of this destination,” added Mr. Manav Soni.
Mrs. Punam Arora, 1st Vice President of Skal International Kolkata thanked the tourism authority of Ras Al Khaimah for selecting Kolkata as a venue for the roadshow in India and said that today’s event was highly sucesfull and generated a lot of interest amongst the travel and tourism fraternity.
