ARUNACHAL PRADESH NEW GOVERNOR VISITS TOURISM PLACES IN ITANAGAR

KOLKATA, 5 MARCH 2023:

The newly appointed  Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt. General (retired) Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik,  visisted   some of the prominent places of tourist interest in and around the capital city of Itanagar on Saturday.

The governor started his journey from the Jawaharlal Nehru state visiyted and was visibly impressed and termed it as ‘the pride of the state’.

The  Governor  has  also visited Ganga Lake, Zoological Park, Ita Fort Southern Gate and paid obeisance at Sidhartha Vihar Gompa and Theraveda Gompa.

Lt. General (retired)  Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, during his visit to the Ganga Lake has urged the officials to preserve the greenary and focus on claanliness to attract more tourists at the spot. He stressed the need of a holistic development of the area.

The governor has also stressed the need to preserve the  archaeological monuments like Ita Fort which presents the rich history of Arunachal Pradesh.

He has also suggested to provide a trsnport system like in other zoos to ferry the visitors inside the Zoological Park.  The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh  aws also handed over during his visit a  Wildlife Rescue Vehicle to Zoological Park, Itanagar under the NHPC CSR initiative by Executive Director, NHPC Regional Office Itanagar.

After completing his visit, the governor said that there is immense tourism potential  in Arunachal Pradesh and the state should promote these tourists hotspots to both international and domestic tourists.
