The third day of the CBSE CLUSTER II Basketball Tournament had been primarily a knock-out phase with teams putting in their best to reach for the semi-finals.
The opening match of the day was played between the boys’ teams of DAV Model School, Durgapur and G.D. Goenka Public School, Siliguri with the latter winning by 36 to 10. The first match of the day for girls was a well fought contest with DAV Model School, Durgapur winning the game against Krishna Public School, Raipur by 36 to 23.
The host team Burnpur Riverside School (boys’) lost to Sanskar International School, Bargarh by 48 to 68.
A total of 14 matches were played on this day. The four day basketball tournament will end tomorrow.
Sushil Kumar Sinha, Director and Principal of Burnpur Riverside School was present.
