Eastern Railway has announced a dynamic and comprehensive update to its Train Time Table, set to take effect on 01.10.2023. This eagerly anticipated revision brings major improvement in train timings and an unprecedented boost in the speed of Mail/Express trains, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering exceptional rail services to the Eastern region. Thanks to dedicated maintenance work carried out throughout the year and the commissioning of the 3rd/4th line in various sections across Eastern Railway, passengers can look forward to faster and more efficient train journeys. The upgrades in infrastructure and tracks will significantly reduce travel times, making rail travel and even more attractive options. Following major changes in timings of Mail/Express, Passenger trains and local trains as well as introduction of new trains, Diversion, modification of timings, increase in frequency etc. which have been incorporated in new Time Table:-
Introduction of new EMU locals:
- 34168 Sealdah – Budge Budge EMU local will leave Sealdah at 14:30 hrs.
- 34167 Budge Budge – Sealdah EMU local will leave Budge Budge at 15:33 hrs.
- 34652 Sealdah – Baruipur EMU Local will leave Sealdah at 13:47 hrs.
- 34651 Baruipur – Sealdah EMU Local will leave Baruipur at 14:44 hrs.
Regularization of trains:
- 33369 Barasat – Bongaon EMU Local will run daily leaving Barasat at 06:20 hrs.
- 33368 Bangaon – Barasat EMU Local will run daily leaving Barasat at 07:41 hrs.
Diversion of trains:
- 30152 Naihati – Majerhat EMU local will be diverted via Dum Dum Junction – Kankurgachi – Ballygunge instead of Dum Dum Junction – Kolkata station – B. B. D. Bag.
- 30353 Majerhat – Duttapukur EMU Local will run via B. B. D. Bag – Kolkata station – Dum Dum Junction instead of Ballygunge- Kankurgachi – Dum Dum Junction.
Speeding up of Mail/Express trains:
- 70 Mail/Express Trains and 121 EMU/MEMU/DEMU/ Passenger will be speeded up to reduce their journey time upto 105 minutes.
